I lost a POTS line at Cougar last summer. I battled with Clink to repair
it. I had several appointments to fix it that were no shows. Finally, one
tech actually arrived, because he was the only one to follow instructions
and call for access. He diagnosed the fault to be out on the street
someplace, and referred it to the outside plant crew. Several more
appointments failed and I gave up. I switched to VoIP. Other lines in the
building have been slowly dying off too.
Last fall, it was the same story at my Fife Heights STL site. A POTS line
died and I could never get a tech to show up. I think CenturyLink/Lumen is
a company that has completely lost their way, and they will die soon.
