I forgot Cathy was also part of our DC group!! Emily retired last year after she found out my brother was retiring. I just messaged him about it, maybe he can pass on the word to one of the teachers still at the school. But if they haven’t used it, they should tell the guy that has the transmitter and antenna at his house. Just a waste.

From what I understand, the station went off air a number of years ago; and I just found that out today! I’m also very disappointed, but not surprised. Once Emily Blahous gave it up and then retired it just wasn’t the same.

I am disappointed in the Anchorage School District with KAUG that’s at Mirror Lake Middle school. My dad, Augie, Al and I had went down to DC and had a face to face with the FCC to get permission to build that station. Van and I believe Paul and Jeremy all did work on this along with donate the gear to get them transmitting.
