They did. They use NEC4 (if I remember correctly). It is just classic
array physics - just big at these frequencies. The physics is the same
for the nifty flat panel radar arrays or curtain dipole arrays like we
use in HF broadcasting. They just have some very cool software to
change the transmitter exciters to provide beam steering, circular
polarization, and lots of other cool stuff. Each dipole has its own
transmitter. 180 cross dipoles with 360 10 kW transmitters.
