Thanks Arthur we'll look into it.. We might just Do a phone meeting as opposed to a video conference if we have to spend a lot of money to make it secure we'll discuss it at the board meeting. Dave ratener Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device

Zoom may not be the most secure provider right now.   Just type in Zoom recent news.

I'm transitioning my classroom sessions to Zoom and concur that it would be a viable platform for our SBE meetings.

Here's more to consider:
1) We would need to buy the basic license to host the meetings. It's $15 per month per registered "host". The host is associated with the email address one would use when creating each meeting. One of the generic SBE addresses might be acceptable.

2) It works on just about every personal platform - including Android, iOS & Linux
3) It's FREE for the clients
4) Audio and Video interaction along with MANY other useful features.

I agree  it sounds good to me,  Ryan  what do you think?  If we do this  I need to find a camera for my computer instead of my phone.

Board

I now have participated in several “Zoom” virtual meetings and found the video conferencing friendly and easy to use.
I am proposing to use zoom for our April 15 meeting at the regular time noon.
I would also propose the following topics be covered:

Broadcast engineers and the Washington First Informer program during our current declared emergencyUsing remote audio to allow the DJ’s to work from home.First hand report of one of our members enduring the COVID19 experience.
I will help set up.

Jim
