Well, our Zoom meeting with Scott Fybush failed today as noted in the thread below.

Good exercise for setting up a Zoom meeting at our new location.

We did have a great discussion with Stephen Lockwood on the demise of the Voice of America and its worldwide shortwave network.

All I can see on my Zoom meeting schedule is that I didn't check the box labeled "Allow participants to join anytime" which apparently makes me the only host and I have to start the meeting, even though there is no waiting room.

I host a Zoom with friends from Sacramento every month, but I do check that box, and whoever shows up first before me becomes the host and automatically starts the meeting.  That's how it is supposed to work.

I am so sorry this failed, guys. ☹️

But, had one of you called or texted me, I could have fixed it by connecting, even on my phone.  I was not looking at email or Facebook messenger.

Journalist turned broadcast consultant will present his "Taste of NAB."  (A very light version of what Larry Bloomfield used to do.)

Fresh from the NAB show in Las Vegas, Scott will continue his tradition of discussing new and exciting technologies he encountered at the show, he will also be talking about some of the bigger trends in the industry, especially regulatory issues and the new FCC. Scott Fybush wears many hats in the industry. The longtime publisher of NorthEast Radio Watch and the Tower Site Calendar, Scott spent 33 years as a radio and TV journalist in Boston and his native Rochester, NY. 

Scott is the principal of Fybush Media LLC, a consulting firm that provides industry analysis, station valuation, signal expansion and FCC application services. He is also a contract engineer for stations across western New York and a radio station broker through his StationSale.com website. 

He is a member of the National Association of Media Brokers and the SBE and serves as treasurer of Rochester's SBE Chapter 57. 

In his spare time, he performs stand-up comedy and is attempting to visit every baseball stadium in the country.
