This is wonderful news !!!

As most of you know – There are many volunteers that work to keep our EAS System functional and serve the needs of the citizens of our State.

Many give their time, others go beyond in wonderful and un-expected ways. If you are a user of broadcast equipment and purchase it from BSW

I would hope you would take the time to thank them for their contribution.

A sincere thank you to BSW !!!!

Subject: [EAS-WA] A thank you

For many years, we have had a Sage ENDEC installed at the Seattle NWS office. It is there to relay civil EAS alerts via weather radio, which re-enforces message distribution. It might be the only installation like it in the nation.

The recent, paid, firmware update created a problem because none of the government entities involved had the purchasing flexibility to pay for the license. They have restrictions that we in the private sector don't often experience.

Our friends at Broadcast Supply Worldwide, in Tacoma, agreed to donate the software license. A big thank you to Shannon and Tim for helping EAS in Western Washington.
