[SBE16-Seattle] Looks like we have a Pirate !

This afternoon I rcvd a message from John Price that he heard a snippet of
another station on 88.9  south of Olympia.

 

FYI - 88.9 (KSWS) is operated by WSU's NWPB and transmits from Crego Hill SW
of Chehalis (Same site as KMNT and KCKA-TV) 

 

I tuned in 88.9 while in the Auburn Valley this evening about 6 PM ..And
there it was.Loud and clear, playing hip-hop with no announcements.
Whereas I live on the East Hill of Auburn with a Scala array on the roof and
a decent receiver.I got home about 730 PM and the 'critter' was gone.
Either shut it off.or QSY'd to interfere with someone else.

 

I'lll keep listening - appreciate it if you would also..Let me know if you
hear him and where.
