<div dir="ltr">Hi All!<br><br>I've been asked about how our SBE Elections work, so I thought I'd give a little explanation.<br><br>Like any service organization, we rely on volunteers to make it ALL work.<br><br>The first step is Nominations - <u><b>DUE JUNE 1</b></u>.  If you know of a chapter member (maybe yourself) with an idea of how to improve our chapter, look over the available positions (<a href="http://sbe16.com/?p=6735">http://sbe16.com/?p=6735</a>) and send an email to <b><a href="mailto:director1@sbe16.org">director1@sbe16.org</a></b>.  If you're considering it, but not yet certain, let us know that too. There are many committee positions to be filled during the year.<div><br>Following Robert's Rules of Order, a nomination consists of nominating a single person to a specific position.  Any member in good standing at the time of election, and throughout their term, is eligible for any position.<br><br>For each nomination, the Election Committee will verify eligibility of the nominee. Of course, nominees must actually want to be a board member!  Then, the ballot will be created, and the election launched.<br><br>After the ballots are cast, and election closed, then voila - we have new board officers. That's all there is to it!<div><br></div><div>Stay tuned as the voting will begin in just a few days.<br><div><br></div><div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div><b>Jon Kasprick, PE, CBRE, DRB</b><br></div><i>Society of Broadcast Engineers<br></i></div><i>Chairman, Chapter 16, Seattle</i><br><font size="1">253-951-3347</font><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>
