Good morning to all of you. Here are a few items to share with members at
your next Chapter meeting and in your chapter communications.



1.      The deadline for nominations for the *SBE National Awards
<https://www.sbe.org/membership-directory/awards_national.php>* (including
the local Chapter Engineer of the Year winner) is June 14, so it’s not too
late to make your nominations. Click on the SBE Awards box on the SBE home
page for details.



2.      There are two new webinars from SBE coming up in June.  The first
is Wednesday, June 12, at 2 pm EDT on *Power Meter Accuracy and Management
of Multiplex Over AES Standard,*

cofounder, President and CEO of Broadcast Devices. The second is Wednesday,
June 26, at 2 pm EDT on *ATSC 3.0 Networking: Module 2: Ethernet Switching
<https://www.sbe.org/sections/ATSCNetModule2.php>* by Wayne Pecena of Texas
A&M University. Details for both are at the SBE website, Education section
<https://www.sbe.org/sections/edu_seminars.php>. SBE Members with the
MemberPlus option get both of these, and all SBE webinars, for free.



Chapters that qualified in 2018 for a Chapter Rebate will be receiving
those in the next week (will be mailed Monday, June 3). As announced last
month, they will be mailed to the chapter treasurer, as long as we have a
record of one at the national office. Otherwise, they will be mailed to the
chapter chair. To qualify, chapters were to have met at least five times in
2018 and submitted meeting reports and/or attendance sheets to the national
office for those meetings. Sixty-nine chapters have qualified to receive a
rebate, sharing almost $38,000.
