I do not currently work for a station, but I have wanted to be in the industry for some time. My background is in Instrumentation and Control and HAM radio. My fiancé is a station manager for an LPFM station in Bellingham which has rekindled my desire to pursue a career in broadcast technology. Through her work is how I met Mike Gilbert. He and I have been engaging in discussion about opportunities to get into the industry.

The Introduction to Broadcast Transmitter Tech course is listed as  $2750 on their website. If there is an opportunity for the scholarship to cover full tuition that would be ideal, but any assistance is greatly appreciated.

My name is Roger Nonhoff. I am a new member of SBE and of SBE Seattle Chapter 16. I am interested in taking the Introduction to Broadcast Transmitter Technology Training through GatesAir in October of this year. I have been speaking with Mike Gilbert and he was the one who advised me to reach out about applying for the Arne Skoog Scholarship to pay for the cost of the course.
