I have been assured that SBE will not be required to provide insurance for this event since it's considered a "meeting".

Checking on-line I found an insurer that provides what we need for about $150.00…I will double check all that before committing.

Do you think maybe Hatfield & Dawson might be willing to assist?

Thanks!

Any thoughts on who we should turn to for the insurance policy?

Brian, et al.

Mercer Island is just about ready for the SBE invasion!

We'll have access to the Northwood Elementary Commons which includes the "Quiet Dining Area" suitable for classroom-style meetings with typical AV equipment.

The antenna demo will be in the "Upper North Field". This is a large fenced-in sports field.

Parking is conveniently located between the field and the school.

Food can be brought in, or a food truck can be used. An Insurance Cert will be needed from the food truck vendor. I expect to get a list of recent vendors soon.

No open flames, or helium balloons. I confirmed that helium tanks are 'allowed' for our personal use ;-)

I've attached an image of the area. Parking is in the center, Northwood to the west, and the field to the east (access via path behind the pool).

I also attached an initial draft of the agreement. Notice that the rate is based on using both spaces the whole day (8a-4p).

=> I confirmed that we can break this down to a morning classroom and afternoon field session to significantly reduce the rental cost.
