[SBE16-Seattle] tuners in some smart phones.

My Sprint Android phone from three years ago had a stand-alone tuner that requires wired earbuds as an antenna.  My current iPhone does not.  Apple moved away from the chip (regardless of functionality) to do that recently when they went to Bluetooth wireless earbuds.

Gents. The BDR Newsletter Volume 11, # 15 - October 31, 2019 has the phrase ‘tuners in some smartphones’. I am unaware of this as a stand-alone feature. At least not in iOS but perhaps Android. Are some FM tuners installed in some smartphones (NOT internet dependent)? Thanks.
