Welcome to February and to celebrate, we can't wait to hit the road for this month's chapter meeting! At 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11th, we'll be at the new facilities of Cascade PBS (KCTS). Our esteemed and knowledgeable friend and SBE Chapter 100 Chair, Jeff Welton of Nautel Transmitters fame, will give a presentation on "IT Security in a Broadcast Plant." These days, the trend is toward virtualization, containerization, and cloud-based everything. What this means and the steps we need to take in order to ensure that we're minimizing our visible footprint while still enabling our teams to get their jobs done will be discussed.

After Jeff Welton's presentation, Jack Portwood, CTO of Cascade PBS will take us on a tour of the station.

Location:
- Cascade PBS (KCTS-TV)
- 316 Broadway
- Seattle, WA 98122

Lunch is catered and is paid for by Nautel Transmitters. We are grateful to Nautel for providing lunch.

Please note: Parking is limited; KCTS has four handicap spaces in their garage. As for the rest of us, there are some parking structures nearby or you can Uber/Lyft/Bus to the station. I personally plan to hire an Uber.
